    Hi guys,

Can anyone recommmend anywhers to go for the October Bank Hol break this year. My girlfriend is a teacher and it will have to be that week only.
I am considering Spain, Tenerife or anything really where the temperature would hopefully be over 20c.

Have not had a decent sun holiday in a while.

    Cheers

Hi Bluezar, was in Tenerife last November, stayed in Playa de la Arena area of Los Gigantes, nearly an hour from the airport but really lovely, much preferred it to Los Cristianos/Las Americas for a couple of reasons; mainly because the weather was far better in Los Gigantes, and also because it was cheaper to eat and drink there, plus the beach at Playa de la Arena was lovely (volcanic sand rather than imported white sand). Highly recommended :)

Any of the Canary Islands should have the sunshine you want. Malta would be very nice as well. Lots of history there and Valetta the capital is a beautiful place to explore.

Any of the Canary Islands would be fine. I wouldn't be so sure about mainland Spain as you mentioned. I have been to Turkey in October and the weather was still in the mid 20's, wasn't that keen on the place itself but some people love it.

Morrocco and Egypt (Sharm el Sheik) are beautiful aswell and would still be very warm at that time of year but you would need to consider the political unrest in Egypt at the moment on that one.
