Buying out phone contract?

is it possible to buy out the remainder of my contract and then renew with the same number? I have 6 mths left , am willing to pay what's left , want to upgrade to the s4 from the s2!

You can pay out yes at anytime, you could ask for an upgrade now and they might allow it with a contract extension. The conditions depend on what network you are on, but only way is to ask. Might suit you better to start a new 2 year contract than pay out.
