I bought a 2007 Zafira with an Nokia bluetooth kit already installed, does anyone know if I can have this changed/adapted to a universal kit rather than taking it out and installing a new one?

It'll work off bluetooth either way.
You can disconnect the cradle or just leave it there. Get a car charger if you need power.

So I can just pair it with the phone as is?

    Yes

Only thing is I don't have the password. I know it's usually 0000 or 1234 but any suggestions if either of these don't work?

Both my last two cars had standard nokia kits I just took out the cradle left the button and it works fine with the Bluetooth on my phone (iPhone 5) the password is 0000 for the Nokia ones.

    If 0000 or 1234 don't work try 1111
