At the end of September I am taking a Friday evening ferry from Rosslare to Cherbourg. The scheduled departure time is 21:30. What time would I need to be leaving Dublin? The email said check-in closes one hour before departure. I am assuming I need to leave work in city centre earlier than 17:30. Traffic is the worry.

It's about 2 hours 15 mins to rosslare harbour from say Dundrum. However a Friday evening in August traffic will be heavier than normal. Expect a 15 min delay in enniscorthy at least on top of other delays. If it was me I'd be on the road at 4.30pm and enjoy dinner somewhere near the port. Less stress
