Crutches are specialised medical equipment. They should be prescribed by a doctor, then fitted and the patient trained in their use by a chartered physio. Not obtained (in any old size and condition) from randoms on the interwebz. (Unless they're for Hallloween :-) )

Yeah but that doesnt happen; I know the two times I have been given crutches out of hospital in Ireland I was quite literally just given crutches. Sorry OP, my crutches were passed on to a visiting relative as well who hasnt brought theirs (for a recurring painful ankle) on their trip. Hope you find some!

Just curious but is there a reason your friend doesn't already have crutches to bring over?
You can try PM the guy in this thread, maybe he still has them.

Same as that for me and for anyone I've ever known who's been on crutches. Including recently my dad, who is a doctor, and who had a hip replacement.

That must make for some interesting lawsuits, when people who are already injured fall and hurt themselves even more badly because of basic health-system incompetence.

I wouldn't say "interesting" lawsuits. More "opportunistic" lawsuits.
