1930's Dress - Original or in the 1930's Style

Help! Am going to a celebration of the people who lived in my grandparents village in the 1930's in 2 weeks time. the organisers have asked that people make an effort to dress up in clothes from that period. Has anyone any advice on what to wear or where I could get something??? Thanks in advance!

Stop Staring is my favourite brand for 1930s dresses. They are not really that cheap though.
