    Hi all

For anyone interested in learning about basic navigation, 3ROC are running a series of three basic level orienteering events in the Phoenix Park on Tuesday 13th; 20th and 27th August. It's particularly aimed at beginners and last year we had a great variety from individuals interested in learning about navigation; young families who wanted to do the course together "treasure hunt" style; experienced runners and even a GAA team looking to add variety to their training, and of course a number of people from boards!

There will be two courses on offer 3km and 6km and you can start anytime between 6:30pm and 7:30pm. On Tuesday 13th August we will start from the car park beside the papal cross; on the 20th from the Furry Glen / Knockmarroon Gate entrance and on the 27th from the Magazine Fort.

A compass is helpful but not essential. Its just €5 for adults or €2 for kids for each map so it's great value.

Further details will be available at www.3roc.net or feel free to post any queries here.

Might bring our scouts to one of these. I'll mention it at this weeks meeting.
