Looking to get some wood tanalised N/side Dublin

Use to be a place beside me where you could buy what ever wood you want and for a % extra they would tanalise it. Is this the same as pressure treated or is tanalised better. Need to repalce some floor joists/wall plate in an old red brick house. Thanks
