    Hello there.

    Quick query for you.
The battery went in my 10 reg Vaux Insignia, 2.0 Diesel CDTI, 130 bhp at the weekend.
The AA came out and recomended an E44 Varta battery but when they fitted it, it was an E11 Varta battery.

Similar but a slightly lower spec to the one that was there.
The cold test current of the new battery is 680 vs 720 ish for the old GM battery and the battery capacity is a bit lower at 77 AH verus 85 ish.

Im guessing a bit with the CTC and AH as I cant find my note on the exact figures
Anyone know if the new slightly smaller and slightly less capacity battery will do the trick or should I go get the more powerful one.

I went onto Micksgarage and it shows a similar specced battery and a higher spec battery as being suitable.

I might be over reacting but with all the electronics in cars these days I dont want to damage something small and expensive down the line.

    Cheers

Not a lot of difference between those figures you quoted, tbh.
