Will painting / applying roundup to a cut stalk of that cursed lleylandi hedge kill the regrowth or the plant altogether? We've cut a hedge of this damn stuff down fairly hard and want to kill it off ...suggestions please...

There's a piece on the roundup label about how to kill stumps AFAIK, I think drilling a hole in the stump and putting in a small amount of roundup would do it. Can't find the link, internet playing up here since Saturday.

dont know about the lleylandi but i used the roundup on whins and it worked nice. cut the whins down to the stump and then painted the stump with undiluted roundup - no problems since

I cut a row of those Cypress weeds off at ground level about 5 years ago. I painted raw roundup on stump and have been driving lawn mower over them since.

I don't think they are even fit to plant around a silage pit.
