    Howdy,

    I was just reading through the Garda Annual report for 2007 and it stated that a reserve had received a commendation for the detection of a large amount of drugs.


    Have any other reserves received commendations here and if so, what was it for? No doubt it will look great at the interview for the full time.

    There are a number of GR's who have recieved commendations .As with their full time colleagues these commendations are issued on a regular basis. The reasons can be varied from dealing with a member of the public in an outstanding manner to assisting in the solving of a major crime. And yes it would be of great beneift at the interivew stage as would a strong reference from your Super /Cig or Sgt.
