I'd like to get a pair of sandals, my first pair so I dont have a clue.

Do I go for my normal size or a size smaller since I wont be wearing socks? What do others do?

The most obvious thing is try them on in the shops but I have seen a lovely pair on the internet. They come half a size too big or half a size smaller than what I normally wear.

Personally I buy sandals in my regular size. I guess they take into account when making them that the wearer probably won't be wearing socks? I've never had any issues.

Go for your normal size or in this case half a size bigger. Nothing worse than people's toes hanging over the edge of sandals.
