    Why so? The Insurance covers you for anywhere you go, doesn't matter where you're flying from. It would make your policy invalid if you included anything false on it.

    I understand your concern, if you cannot find a policy wording that satisfies you book a policy over the phone and explicitly state your travel plans. I think if you travel by public transport to Dublin you will be OK but that's just imho.
    Lots of Irish people connect thru Gatwick/Heathrow and it doesn't seem to be an issue.
