    I'm making slate ornaments for the garden.....does anyone know a good clear sealer for them to protect from the rain etc

    Wood varnish will do it.

    You posted this in DIY also and this cross-forum posting could be classed as spam and result in you being muffled which is not a very nice experience. Stick with the one forum please.
