Going up to Irishfit next weekend to get the bike fit. It's something I've meant to do for the last few years but just never got around to it. I've both a winter/training bike and a bike for races. Question is: Which should I bring? Also, I know a report is constructed so would it be necessary to get both bikes fit?

SO would the same set up not do for both bikes:confused:
for some strange reason my set up on the bike seems to have changed, i have both bike set up exactly the same but this past few weeks i've been getting hot foot when i ride the tourer.yesterday i raised my saddle which seems so far to have cured it.
i'm old school when it comes to setting up my bikes slight bend in the legs and arms ,love to know from lads that got this bike fit done has it actually worked.

Ye that's what I was thinking but I guess the geometry of the frame might make it somewhat slightly different. To be honest I really don't know. Hoping someone here will be able to point me in the right direction. Money wise getting both bikes fitted is no big deal was just wondering if there is a point seen as you get a full report.

Got fitted about 2months ago and feel so much more comfortable on the bike. I had knee and back pain while cycling and since the fit I've had no issues at all. worth every penny and wish i had done it earlier

Hadn't heard of them. I'll give them a look too. I guess they both do the same job at the end of the day.

Had a fit recently with Aidan Hammond, he's over near Bray. Anyway, from memory, he charges €90 for the fit and an additional €40 for a second bike. He'll do both bikes in the one session. Was very pleased with the fit.

Gerry o dwyer in The edge store near the kinsale road roundabout in Cork. Super service but there's a bit of a waiting list.

I got fitted for mine in Richies in Swords. When I got a second bike I just copied the measurements onto the second one. Ie tip of saddle to stem, saddle height to crank centre and it was there or thereabouts. Maybe that was more luck than judgement.
I think if I had 2 bikes at the same time though, I would take them both with me to the fitting unless they had the same geometry and components fitted (seat post, stem, bars etc)

Yes, you might be waiting a few weeks as I heard it's crazy busy at the moment.

ok so let me get my head around this one, bike 1 you get set up right.
so bike 2 and 3 and 4 and so on all different types bikes touring/ hybread /road whatever ,so bike one your set up perfectly on the rest of your bike are you not the same distance from the pedals to saddle and saddle to handlebars:confused:
surly its the angle of your body not the bike that matters.i must have been doing things wrong thai 40years:)

Well it depends. The stem and the crank arms might be slightly longer etc. I'm Getting it done on Saturday. He suggested I bring my winter/raining bike and my bike I use for racing etc along. Total cost €120. For the sake of an extra 20 quid I'm being lazy and getting him to do it.

good point but my bike are set up the same 170 cranks and 110 stems 44 bars.different bikes road bike and touring bike.
so this is my poing if parts are the same then surly all bike should be exactly the same as the one you got fitted on.:D:D
sorry this is getting very confusing.;)

Just got fitted by Aidan Hammond today. Here's the site. Really nice guy to deal with. Has tonnes of experience riding and racing (mentioned doing the Rás a number of times). Really precise and thorough fitting. Lasted about an hour and a half for both bikes. Anyone in the Dublin/Wicklow area looking for a bike fitting I highly recommend Aidan Hammond.

He also comes to clubs all over the country, assuming you have enough people interested.
