    Mayo 2-13 Westmeath 0-08 FT.

Easy breezy for Mayo in the second half.

2-13 to 0-8 was the score!

Yup, typo'd Westie's score. Was too distracted by Bernard Flynn walking by to re-check!

    Roscommon 3-02 Kildare 0-06 HT.

Ros playing great but now down to 14. Mooney having a mare with the whistle.

All Ireland favorites on the ropes here - yet another over hyped Kildare team?

Yeah your right in a way that its a dangerous trap to fall into to predict any minor team to win or even go far in a tournament that they are in because underage teams tend to be unpredictable. Another day it could be Kildare dishing Roscommon out a beating. You just dont know really

Kildare gone - Connacht/Ulster shootout for the title this year. Well done Ros, didn't see that coming based on the Connacht Final display.

Sorry boss! I was at the game and only updating at HTs.

    Ros 3-08 Kildare 0-12 FT.

Absolutely mighty. So many heroes today. Delighted, nothing like winning a big championship game. Now let's do it again.

Was there really a need for a pitch invasion after an All Ireland Minor Quarter Final win though?

Ah shut yer trap. Keep neddling, though - we'd be very happy to get another crack at the baby rhubarbs next month.

    Outright betting:

    Roscommon 15/8
    Mayo 2/1
    Tyrone 10/3
    Monaghan 10/3

    Oh dear lordy.

When have we ever, ever been All-Ireland favourites at any grade?

Cue the Tyrone manager fruitlessly trying to pile pressure on us by saying we're the big favourites etc. Keep the heads down and don't listen to a word of it, lads. Don't expect a team under Fergie to believe the hype so this is only an amusing anecdote.

Watched Tyrone V Kerry on Sunday.

They only played in fits and starts, but when they were in the mood, they were capable of scoring heavy.

A dangerous enough opponent I would think, they stayed very calm when seeking their normal time equaliser, the missed penalty did not phase them and they managed to work a point from it, good sign in a minor team.

McCann, the Tyrone no. 4 should have walked today. He brought down the Roscommon forward going through for goal, and got yellow for it. Fair enough, but as the Rossie lay on the ground he kneed him in the ribs, That called for red.
