    Hi

Im planning to buy projector and screen. My leaving room is 5mx5m and the current watching distance to tv is aprox 4m. Its a very bright room but I hope that blinds should do the trick.I was looking at 100-120" screen and 3d projector (optoma or benq) whould they be suitable? I was reading that projectors are not working well in bright rooms but as I said Im planning to install blinds (preferably black) and that should work. Maybe you could recomend other suitable projectors for such conditions, and would 100-120 be enough or its too big for such space?

    thanx

i am using a epson eh-tw6000 3d projector in a 6.5 x 3m room with a optoma 120" screen. i am approx 3.5m from the screen and have no problems with standard display or 3D.

    kenny111 thank you for replying,
did you use any formula to calculate the distance between screen and projector or were you simly adjusting it untill the display was correct? by the way what is your current distance between projector and screen. thanks

no formula used, i trialled the projector first at max distance to see how things looked at that distance, then fitted the screen and centred the projector. One thing to bear in mind is the mount for the projector, make sure that you get one that you can adjust how it hangs from the ceiling. I used a fixed mount and then drilled 3 six inch bolts into a joist and put a standard nut on each, i then fitted the mount and added a lock nut so i can adjust the mount as necessary.
