    hi all,

just a quick inquiry really, my girlfriend will be shortly self employed and has asked me to do her accounts in the short term so as to reduce her costs, is there any decent course that i could do that would enable me to do her accounts and prepare them for an accountant just to sign of on.

    Any suggestions are welcome!!!

Try your local enterprise board. Most in Dublin run regular courses.

You should ask your accountant for advice/help - a good accountant will take the time to show you how to prepare and maintain your books and records in a manner that is acceptable to them to sign off at the lowest cost. Doing so will keep both your's and your accountants cost and time to a minimum. Your accountant may even have excel templates already designed that you could use to maintain books and records.
