Could the engine have been replaced?

note the seller says the car has done 58K but the engine is marked that the TB was done about 10K later.

I think your answer is only 50 to pass NCT and the car is 500 euro.

Love the TB mileage and then the dash pic.

TB says 69000 miles. Ad says 58000km, clocks say 59000 miles.

Its a €500 car with no test, It doesn't make too much odds either way but unless there's a service history you can check then you'll never know. My gut says its clocked.

Opels of that generation and older dont give steering joint trouble at a mileage that low. And theres no "adjustment" just replacement. Unless hes referring that it needs tracking. Id ask if he has any of the previous nct sheets just to check the odometer reading on them. Or maybe a service history or a few recites? Its not a bad looking car but id thread carefully on it.

Ad is 39 days old too. Probably give viewing it a miss unless it's local.

The seller who put the ad up isn't the cleverest tool in the shed either.

Why is it not possible to check the odometer reading from previous NCT test?

I know it' been talked about before but I forget the conclusion.

Maybe got a new engine cover....? Some vague reasoning here.....

Give the man a break, he lost his dog not too long ago! Or is it Molly......?
