Irish girls fascination with rugby!!

Can anyone explain Irish girls fascination with rugby??

It's completely got out of hand the last few years. They seem to suddenly get a major interest in it come 6 nation time or when Leinster get to the latter stages of the Heineken cup. They might be able to name a few players like Zebo, Sexton and Kearney but struggle after that. I personally know of one girl who stalks the Irish team when they're training in the Carton House. She also was hanging around there when the Lions were training there this summer before flying out to Oz. Her Facebook profile picture is always of her wearing a rugby jersey or a picture with some rugby player. I have noticed tonight she has posted up a video on fb of Sean O'Brien singing in some club in Carlow. Give me a break like!! The likes of these girls will only date 6' 4" lads who look like rugby players, otherwise they will reject all around them! If this girl or the likes of her played rugby I'd fully respect it and I'd have no problem with this craze. However, these girls don't come from any rugby backgrounds but generally places which are not known to have strong rugby traditions, places like Mayo, Kildare, Offaly and Westmeath come to mind. I'd be interested to hear people views on this, particularly lads take on this. Admin, please move this somewhere else if posted in the wrong place.
