Dual Tuner TV - Saorview & Satellite

    Hi,

Looking for a bit of advice for the holiday home down the country, my knowledge of this topic is not great.

At present I have a Silvercrest Freesat/FTA box whereby we get a good few channels like BBC,ITV,CH4,Film Four,E4,Kids Channels,Foreign channels etc.

We are looking to replace the TV and get a new 32" TV at a competitive price seeing as it is just for the holiday home.

From what I have gathered, it is possible to get a dual tuner tv which negates the need for the silvercrest box. Is this correct/incorrect?

We have another aerial which can provide the Irish channels.

When looking for a tv to suit what I am looking for, should it state dual tuner in the specifications?

Finally anybody seen any at competitive prices this bank holiday weekend?

    Thanks in advance

    :)

Powercity have a range of combi Saorview/FTA sat TVs, have a look here - http://www.powercity.ie/index.php?par=10-12&cat=TV, DVD, Saorview , Tablet, iPad , Laptops, Cameras &action=brandstory. There's even one there with a built-in DVD player.

A combi TV will have 2 connectors at the rear, a co-ax socket for the aerial and an F-connector socket for the satellite tuner.
