A good few went to Spa, anyone going to Monza any tips on where to go in the general admission and getting to and from the track or just general tips for the weekend. I arrive Friday evening so not going to see the practice but will be there Saturday and Sunday.

I went general admission last year and it was the best venue Ive been at for a general ticket. Its a very old fashioned circuit so plenty of it is open and visible outside the grandstands. The paddock and fan zones are a bit basic by modern standards but still a great atmosphere, and youll get plenty of photo and autograph oppos as the helicopter and car transfer into the pits have to pass through the fan village

I watched qualifying on Sat and the Sunday support races between the Ascari chicane and Parabolica - very easily accessed by going underneath the pit complex and over the bridge from the infield. You can stand in general access areas in front of paying grandstands there, right up against the fence and the view is fantastic. For the race itself I went straight out from the fan village under the old banked circuit (make sure and explore this a bit), then up through the woods to the Curva Grande. The first thing I came across was the holding area for the team transporters which is completely open and in the middle of the forest, looks a bit surreal!

I watched the start and opening laps at the Curva Grande and then during the race followed the line of the track past the Roggia chicane up to Lesmo 1. I really recommend this route as it is sheltered in the woods, its very easy to move about and not packed with fans, except near the small stands under the trees which are pure Tifosi! Also there are brilliant photo and filming oppos as you can hang over the low fence and get a clear view of the braking zones, chicanes etc. I have literally never got closer to a motor race at any level except when I was in one! At the end we got out onto circuit at Lesmo and trooped back around to the start/finish. Its a great old place, hope everyone enjoys it, its Singapore for me this year!
