    Hi
    Looking for views on this car.
    http://www.autotrader.ie/search/Audi/A4/2.0-TDIe/201331217509531/advert?channel=CARS

    Anything you would be concerned about with:

    1. that car specifically:
    It seems to have full service history;
    80 k miles isn't bad if kept properly, is it?;
    no mention of number of owners though;
    anyone know anything about the dealer?

    2. the A4 2.0 l TDI generally. Any well-known issues with it.

    Also, how much VRT/etc would i be looking at on top of the listed price.

    Overall would you say it's a good buy.
    I'm itching to drop some money (preferably under 15 k) on something like this :D so any advice appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Have they a timing belt or chain? If its a belt, its probably well due a change if its not had one.

    Not much else I know about em. Make sure that long list of electronics all work. No fun finding out the reversing sensors dont work or the auto head lights dont work.

    It's the same engine that's in the Passat CC. :)

    OP, would you not consider a Passat CC instead, way more car for the money and not every second car on the road is one either?

    Shhhh Bazz. Those CCs are exclusive to me and you.

    If its the same engine, then the belt is due at 75k miles. Defo ask has it been changed.

    My understanding is that the belt interval on the 2.0 CR TDi is 180k km (112k miles) or 5 years?

    I think thats correct.
    My service manual has it at around that point.

    Good engine.

    Though if you can find an alternate with the 168bhp output it might be worth stretching to?

    I was told 120km by my mechanic. 180km seems huge. Ill quiz him up more about it when im nearing 75k miles.

    Timing belt on most of the new model A4's is 180k, but it's worth getting the engine code and checking with Audi.

    The one linked in the OP is a 136bhp model, not the usual 143bhp version that is more common in Ireland. The 136 was available here until recently, but very few were sold - most were 120 models as they were cheaper. UK also had a 163bhp low emissions model that we never got here. Emissions make a big difference to company car drivers in the UK, but not here.

    I also don't think the wheels on the linked car are the 17's it says, that style wheel is usually 18 or bigger.

    Volvo S60 is a better car to drive, and usually higher specification - and my foot doesn't catch the bloody foot rest every time I use the clutch in the Volvo.

    They look like 19" aftermarket replica rims and states further down in the advert that they are £700 extra. :eek:
