1. What is your budget? €600

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Surfing, storing music, movies and stuff on it. I'll be editing music/pics. I'm looking for 2 hdds with 1 TB each

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? Yep - Win 7 if possible

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? I'd rather not

5. Do you need a monitor? No

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? Hanns.G HG191A - 1440x900. No plans to upgrade at the moment.

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? Card Reader, comfy mouse.

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? No

8. How can you pay? PayPal/Credit Card/Laser

9. When are you purchasing? not in a mad rush as I'll be away from Friday until 20th Aug

10. If you need help building it, where are you based? Wexford but I'd feel more comfortable if it was built for me.

As advised in the other thread I'll pop this here and see what comes up...

How does this look? Includes assembly, an ssd for windows and your programs, small form factor and that cpu should have more than enough power for your needs.

You will just have to install windows yourself when you get it.

That looks really good - thanks very much for putting the time in to put it together.

I'd never heard of SSD drives up until now. At the moment I'm struggling to keep my XP system within a 30 gig partition. I presume that a 64 gig partition will comfortably fit Win 7.

Yeah no bother. If you disable hibernation and reduce the page file to 2gb you will save 16gb of valuable ssd space.

Hi Bloods

I'm back from hols and eventually getting around to ordering the computer.
I've noticed the AMD A8-5600K Processor and Cooler are out of stock without any expected delivery date.
In general do hardwareversand.de get thier parts fairly regularly or should I substitute them. If so have you any recommendations?

Hey. They are usually quick to restock. I'd just order it anyway so they reserve the parts for you.

Assembly is only €5 this week as well so I'd order it now to take advantage of the €15 saving today.

you can get windows 7 here for €41. They will email you the activation key. You would have to download the W7 90 day trial and activate it with this key. There's €45 to be saved doing that though.

You can save another 5 changing the ram to this.

That's €65 saved.

I'd use that to upgrade the ssd to this.

And the power supply to this.
