Quick tax question

    Hi all,

I will speak with an accountant on Tue however today is Sunday, tomorrow is a bank holiday and I have a meeting with a company 1st thing Tue so won't get to speak to the account first.

I've also searched and read through 4 pages on here regarding sole trader and taxes. Also been on citizens info and revenue.ie.

I'll be setting up as a sole trader doing contract/free lance design working from home. No Employees.

I know the rate is 20% up to €32,800 income threshold
    PRSI is 4%
USC is 2% on first €10,036, 4% on next €5,980 and 7% on the balance.
I shouldn't hit the VAT threshold, but can register for that if I start getting close to it.

My question is: I will have to give them an hourly rate on Tue morn and this depends on the % I would be paying in tax. Doesn't bother me +/- a few % Just wondering the approx % if my earning stay within the €32,800 threshold.

I'm not looking for detailed information about tax credits/expenses etc. Also, this may not even happen it depends how the meeting goes and how much work they can send my way.

I know I may have answered my question with the figures I mentioned above but I'm new to this and a bit overwhelmed!

    Thanks in advance!
