opinion - is 10 days worth it for Japan / other options end Oct?

    The OH and I have 10 days to go on holiday at the end of October... originally we had planned to go to Japan but at the time we had 2.5 weeks -- do you think its still worth it (considering flight length etc) to go for the 10 days? (We have never been anywhere in Asia before)

    We had also considered Thailand / Vietnam but we are thinking its probably better to save these locations for when the weather will be warmer/more predictable.

    If Japan is not going to work out - Any other ideas on where to go in late October?
    We would be happy with either some kind of new city adventure (outside of Europe) with OK weather or just make it into a relaxation holiday in a beach location with sunny weather....

    I'd recommend New York, depends on your budget though.

    Japan probably wouldn't work primarily because you'll be travelling 2 of those 10 days in reality. Would recommend you go somewhere closer to home.
