Millimeter Dimensions of a Triangle Head screwdriver?

I need a triangle head screwdriver to open an electrical device I bought in Woodies. I'm trying to find out how many millimeters each edge of the triangle head is in a TA18, TA20, TA23, and TA27. The TA head screwdriver is described on Wikipedia but the dimensions of the head are not given and I can't find them anywhere else either!

There is a set on Amazon and more are listed on eBay too. I suppose each edge in the triangle is the same length... I think I need one with a 2.5mm edge. I have seen this type of triangle head advertised on eBay as 2, 2.5, 3 and 4mm. But I have seen a 2.7 and 2.3mm too.

    Anyone know??

Buy the set? It'd probably work out much the same as buying a single one anyway.

I guess I'm cheap, don't want to buy and then find out they're wrong then have the hassle of returning them.

Well I've done a bit more googling and found a review on Amazon in the US which suggests these are the millimeter dimensions:

    TA-18(Red) = .079(~2mm)
    TA-20(Blue) = .091(>2mm)
    TA-23(Grn) = .106(~2.5mm)
    TA-27(Orng) = .126 (~3mm)

If you're basing your sizes on the length of the side of the triangle you're using the wrong measurement.
    http://sizes.com/tools/screw_drive.htm
The bits are sized by the distance from a corner to the midpoint of the opposite side (the altitude of the equilateral triangle, for those who took geometry).

    They are available in at least 4 sizes (TA18, 0.079 inch; TA20, 0.091″; TA23, 0.106″; TA27, 0.126″) but are uncommon.

    Thank you for the info!

Americans refuse to embrace the metric system... Hehe, I think it's funny how measurements in imperial units like inches are specified as a decimal fraction.

Here I bump[!] in, lookin' for TA18/20/23/27 sized bits with regular fit. Screwdrivers (especially sets of them) seems to have become easier to find, primarily on eBay. Also, I do have a fine-electrical bit set where a 2 mm triangle head bit is included, which indeed is handy at times, but it's with that weird (small:ish) 5/32" bit hook, and I have yet to find triangle bits with the standard 1/4" fitting. Anyone?

First of all congratulations on your first ever post on Boards.ie ! It only took you four years :) I never went through with buying those screwdriver triangle shapes but there are lot of listings for them on eBay and I bet you would find what you need by searching there.
