Opel Meriva Immoboliser issue?

    Hi All.

Locked and immobised my Opel Meriva (pre 2009) car yesterday evening. To do this I press the remote lock button on my key twice.

This morning I tried to open the car with the key remotely (to bring my daughter to the park). No response at all. I was able to open the Driver door with the key manually. When i turned the key in the ignition i got no response. No lights on dashboard at all, no sound from starter, car lights don't turn on, everything is dead.

Have tried this with BOTH car keys.

    Trying to suss it out.

The obvious seems to be that the car is immobilised and for some reason it cant be un-immobilised with either car key.

Im not 100% if the car is behaving as an immobilised car. Should all dash lights, car lights etc be off like this?

It could be battery only the lack of any response from the ignition seems to point to the car being immobilised.

Would a dead battery on a car that is immobilised explain this? (no lights, etc were left on).

Any help greatly appreciated. Were due to go on holidays tomorrow!

Sound's like your battery was flattened for some reason. Is anything electrical working, for example, headlights.

Thanks folks. Car battery flattenned. A lazy indicator remained solid on, i think, which drained it. I got a jump start and noticed that the indicator came on solid once i got power back. Seems to be intermittently faulty after. Thanks for replies.
