Dating blind people

I was out on the town and saw a blind girl with her friends and got me thinking.

How does a blind person find some one attractive?

I take it in a lot of cases they have their friends for the seal approval,

Then again looks do they really matter to a blind person if they cant even see you, I think a lot more things would be ahead of just looks

I'd reckon looks doesn't play a massive role in that situation OP. They probably care more about non-looks attributes when assessing the attractiveness of a partner.

Yeah, attraction isn't only physical.
Even still, you could probably tell by touch how somebody's body shape and features were.
In fairness though, who cares what other people think about the physical appearance of someone you're dating. You're (hopefully) the only one who has to wake up next to it.

There are a few visually impaired boards members alright, and boards devs have been very accommodating in designing the site for those who are visually impaired, but there is also screen reader software available that enables a visually impaired person to read and navigate the site as good as you or I would.

There's also the Accessibility & Mobility & Disability forum where the OP could ask their question if they were genuinely curious.

Actually, I think he told me that a majority of blind people became visually impaired and eventually blind well after they were born(I'm not entirely sure if he said that though).

I've talked to two blind people and they were both born with normal vision.

Was in a night club in Cork a good few years back with the lads when I spotted a cute girl by the bar. Went over for a chat, had a drink and she asked me to take her for a dance. Had good crack but when home time came and we were chatting outside she told me she was legally blind. She could see shadows etc etc but used a cane for day to day getting about. I was fine about it at the time, had a bit of a snog and headed off with my number in her phone.

She text me to meet again but I said no. The reality is i didnt have the courage. Im older and wiser now and realise I was an ***hole. So what if she was blind, she was cute and a good laugh and it was my loss.

My dad is blind. He fell for my mother because of her personality and cause she had a nice figure (when he got his hands on her).

From talking to some of his blind friends the key is being treated like everyone else and being flirted with.
