Last minute 'stay-cation' in Ireland...

We weren't able to find any last minute bargains abroad, so we're going to go away for a few nights in Ireland (prob end up spending more than going abroad, but just want to get out of Galway for a few nights)

We're staying in Wineport in Athlone for a night (voucher) and wouldn't mind heading on to Dublin after but open minded.

Has anyone tips on how I may be able to get accommodation at a decent rate? We'll be going away mid-week after the bank holiday weekend (this weekend) so hopefully rates won't be at peak.

In Ireland am I best going online normally or book with B&B/Hotels direct?

There's some really good deals on websites like Living Social and Done Deal etc for 2 night stays in various places, especially if you can go mid-week.

This one caught my eye as being particularly good:

Might be a bit last minute for you to get this time but good to keep in mind for the future! :D

Go onto dealpage.ie filter on accommodation and the map if you want. Some great deals to be had. Just make sure you ring to check availability before buying for when you want to go.

We got a night in 4* Langtons in KK lately for €99. That included stay in a deluxe room, two course meal and prosecco and chocolates in our room.
