Patrick is an Australian remake of the 1978 film of the same name.
Richard E. Grant was originally cast as the doctor but had to drop out because of a scheduling conflict and was replaced by Charles Dance.

The movie is set to premiere at the Melbourne International Film Festival on July 27, 2013 - and then be theatrically released in Australia in October 2013.

Patrick lays comatose in a small private hospital, his only action being his involuntary spitting. When a pretty young nurse, just separated from her husband, begins work at the hospital, she senses that Patrick is communicating with her, and he seems to be using his psychic powers to manipulate events in her life

Is there really a need to create a new thread for every single horror "remake" and sequel that's released.

I can't make a list cause, (Which I would liked to do, is post them in one main thread, don't what to break any rules.)

I do think it;s better, each movie get it own thread and is what I normal do on the other sites that I am on.

They get number of post and there are decent good discussion going on in this thread.

I was going to post a few more threads and I had no idea at all it was would annoy anyone, which dose puzzle me a little!

I don't what to thread to go off topic, PLEASE, would not talk further of ftopic

An overall discussion of the various remakes in the works would be easier to follow and make things easier. If you were to start a thread for everyone of the upcoming remakes, reboots, re-imaginings, sequels, etc then you'd have a couple of hundred threads going.

Patrick is one of the rare remakes that does something a little interesting and is properly superior to the original. It does suffer from the recent trend of having to start the shocks early and never let up. There's a recorruing moment here with odd looking characters appear behind Nurse Kathy accompanied by musical cues that scream "Oh God, look at the horror of it all." If they had reined it in a little and concentrated more on building tension then this could have been one of the surprises of the year. It's still a good film just one that could have been so, so much more.
