So I posted a few months ago about a pc but didnt have the cash which i now have :) want to try and keep budget as low as possible so all money saving tips welcome :)

    1. What is your budget? €400 (can maybe stretch if really needed)

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? use of the adobe suite, photoshop, after effects, Premiere etc, maybe some gaming but not at forefront of needs

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? no

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? [Hard drive/DVD Drive/Case/PSU/etc.] (If possible state brand and model of the parts to ensure compatibility) Have a few hard drives

    5. Do you need a monitor? [Yes/No] NO

5a. If yes, what size do you need. [19'/20'/22'/24'/etc.]

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? [1920x1080/1440x900/etc.] [Yes/No]

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [Keyboard/Mouse/Wireless Card/Card Reader/Speakers/etc.] NO

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? [Yes/No] Maybe in the future

    8. How can you pay? [Bank Transfer/Credit Card/Laser] I can do bank transfer

    9. When are you purchasing? [In x days] within the next few days

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? [South Dublin City/Cork City/Kerry/etc.] I'm in longford but will give it a go myself

What hard drives do you have exactly?
Do you need a dvd drive/burner?
What res is the monitor you will be using it with?
What version of the adobe suite will you be using?

€400 is a bit on the low side but you can still build a very decent pc for that money. Went with Amazon.

All of this comes to about €320. You could add an ssd or hdd, dvd drive and whatever bits and pieces you need on top. There's decent overclocking potential there as well. You can overclock the cpu, the igp and the ram for significant performance gains. It will run most games as well depending on the res and settings.

Corsair Builder Series CX 430 Watt ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Bronze Power Supply Unit
    Cooler Master NSE-200-KKN1 N-Series N200 USB 3.0 Micro-ATX Case
    AMD A8 5600K Black Edition CPU (3.6GHZ, 4MB Cache, 4 Core, HD6570
    AsRock FM2A75 Pro4-M Motherboard
    Corsair CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10B 16GB (2x 8GB)

I have a Samsung HD103UJ is 1TB Hard Drive and a couple of WD, wouldn't mind a burner but can do without for now
I have a HP w19 with a native res of 1440x900 and I looking to run cs5.5 so would need 64bit

What's the max Ram and how many HD can I put in this?

PS Thanks for the build looks nice :)

16gb of ram included there with room to add 16 more.

It has 6 sata3 ports so up to 6 internal hdd's/ssds although the case only takes 3 hdd's and 3 ssd's/2.5 inch hdd's.

You could upgrade the processor to the i5 3330 with an asrock b75 pro3-m as well within budget if you don't need any more drives. Less graphics performance but reasonably more cpu power for Adobe cs. You can always add a graphics card later down the line. An Nvidia card will boost cs performance even further.

I like your orginal spec, the case is out of stock, could u recommend another? poss with more 3.5 bays?

You should probably change to an atx case and board then.

This case with this board. There's room for 7 x 3.5 inch drives in that.

You should consider getting an after market cpu cooler as well. It would allow you to achieve high overclocks on the cpu and igp and reduce the noise by a lot. This is the best budget cooler.

This is also good if you want a cheaper easier to install option.

I'd expect around a 25% performance boost to both with an overclock. The igp on those processors also benefit a lot rom high speed ram so if you were to overclock the ram as well you could be looking at another 20% graphics performance.

At your resolution with all these overclocks you should be able to run most games with a good frame rate.

will i need any internal cables or anything else?

Nope assuming you have sata cables for your hdd's. 2 should come with the board anyway.

I'd maybe add 1 or 2 case fans though if you want to overclock. You might as well since you will get a nice bit of extra performance for little extra cost.

2 of these would do nicely. They are quite loud at full speed but you will be able to turn them down in the bios or mainboard software.

You didn't bother going for either of the cpu coolers? The zalman is a good cheap option that will be a lot better than the stock cooler.
