Hi guys, in the states at the moment and looking to purchase a new macbook air over here. Have had a look across a few various sites and was just wondering what people think is the best option between these two?

    Option A:http://store.apple.com/us/product/FD232LL/A/refurbished-macbook-air-18ghz-dual-core-intel-core-i5

Option B: entry level 13inch macbook air

If there's any other options worth looking into please post them here, thanks!

Personally, I'd go for the 2013 entry level over the refurbished 2012.

Haswell is amazing, it really makes all the difference.
The battery life is just incredible - if you push it, you can get over 14 hours! :)

The only thing you're really losing is 128gb of ssd, but with cloud storage & external hard drives, 128gb is fine.

I got the i7, 8gb RAM, 512ssd, I'd stretch to it if I were you, stunning machine and lightening quick, and don't even talk about the battery life, charged this last thurs, still 29% power.

Went for the entry level 11inch myself! If you the buy the new one it will be supported longer with software updates and such things, plus you have the new Wifi, the Haswell processor, the battery life! I'd say, if you are going to spend that much go for the one! Tis a good machine alright, though Im not as blown away by the speed as I expected to be but then again, I don't have much to compare it too. I use Windows 7 at work. Id like to hook it up to a monitor and some photo shopping and or x-coding and really put it through its paces!

Im going to be picking one of these up myself in the next few months, Ive ruled out a MB pro as I want the portability. Im gonna go for the 13 inch and upgrade the RAM at the very least. Is there any real argument for getting the faster processor with the speed improvements that the SSD brings?
It will be for home use and light work stuff, processing of small data sets with various stats and graphical programs, I don't think it should be taxing, works fine on a base spec MB pro 2010 for instance. Mighe be better to futureproof it a tad and stump for more storage than the faster processor, not willing to pay for both.
