I came across a strange scene on my commute home. The garda have blocked off a large section of the road. There are little evidence number spread across the road and a hybrid bike with a banged up wheel on the footpath/cycle lane. No one on the scene except the garda.
Any idea what happened ? If a cyclist was involved I hope they're ok.

Passed by about 12.35, guards said he was killed but after reading the article I think they must have been trying to scare me or something. Seeing the mangled bike did that anyway!

I went down to see where it happened and the cops are still there picking up and bagging tiny pieces and have blue tags over the cycle path and footpath.

    Looks a grim site.

Strange that its on the cycle path thats off the road, but its very near the corner.

Possibly, but is just as likely to be still over the limit from the night before
