    Hi guys,

I've been called into a social welfare interview on Tuesday to show I'm looking for work/show my bank details etc for last 6 months.

Anyways, I have a day long interview/assessment centre day that particular day.

What do I do as it's a bank holiday Monday and I can;t call into them?

    Many thanks

You have to ring the secret number... :(
    I'm not even joking.

Search their website for a relevant e-mail address and write to them before close of business today. It's unlikely that you will get an acknowledgement let alone a reply, but come next week you have a written and dated record of them being informed.

Should be able to find details here.
It's after 1600 on a Friday so they're not going to answer now anyway.
They'll ask why you didn't come in to tell them, you'll ask why they didn't answer the phone when you rang 150 times...
    Email is a good idea.

Print off copy of email, showing date and time sent. Bring that with you on Wednesday, if you've not had a response before then, rescheduling your interview.

Send the email to cover yourself and bring proof (email, letter etc) of the assessment into them. They can't fault you for trying. At least you have a genuine excuse.
