Opening 2D light fitting

    Apologies if you laugh right away on reading this. I've a 2D fluorescent fitting in the kitchen (photos attached). I'm trying to replace the tube but I'm having no success in figuring out how to get the cover off. I've seen the exact same fittings in a good few commercial premises so I was hoping someone here might know...

    looks like you should be able to twist the white 'ring' to loosen it.

    Chances are the whole unit is screwed onto a base which is fixed to the ceiling.

    you just grip the white cover and turn anti clockwise

    if there's a 'starter' change both at the same time

    All sorted now - twisting the white ring does the job. Good advice on the starter - it had pretty much disintegrated.
