TRS still applied despite requests to stop

    Hi,

I am at my wits end.

We are all implored to inform Revenue/Mortgage Bank when no longer entitled to Owner-Occupier TRS -which I have done and done and done again and again.....

I have let my apartment since Jan 2013.

As a First-Time (unwilling) Landlord, I hastened to do this ASAP (in Nov 2012) and put pen to paper, informing BOTH Revenue and my Mortgage Bank that I was no longer the Owner-Occupier.

I also registered with Revenue as a Landlord (Form TR1) and this was duly done by Revenue who sent me a form confirming that I would be declaring my rental income from 1 Jan 2013.

Since then, the interest is STILL given to me EVERY MONTH and every time, I repeat my letters (referencing the previous dates in the newest one).

I have multiple letters (especially from Revenue) on formal letter-headed paper acknowledging this and confirming that Revenue has sent this request to my Mortgage Bank.

Revenue has even rung me to confirm this corrspondence and to assure me that this change would definitely be in by August 2013 (something about the Revenue file with TRS details only going to the banks after the 10th of each month, so I keep 'missing the deadline' for changes.

My bank also confirmed my letters in writing and over the phone (in Feb 2013), but telling me at the same time to revert to Revenue.

Now, my mortgage has debited my account again today - as if I am still the Owner-Occupier in receipt of this TRS.

What else can I do - it is - pass-the-parcel between the two institutions:(

I have copies of every letter etc ...

    Olive
