Default game difficulty

Hi guys. When I hit the high 40s, level wise, I changed my difficulty to Master. At the time I noticed it didn't move up by itself, and that it was at Adept. I changed it and carried on playing. The last couple of quests I noticed was getting very easy, so I wanted to try out Legendary (:P yeah I know I'm gonna die!) BUT!…

Does anyone know how you can change the default to something more challenging than Adept? Xbox, btw.
