You could try take couple of load out and fill with water. Might help bring the lump towards the agitator

More water in. Get it to move towards the agitator / agitating point.
If agitator still has trouble, fill vac tank with water. Use the small hose from the vac tank to jet the lump with high pressure water. Amazing how quickly you can break up the lump do the agitator can work easier on it.
In any case, water, water and more water is the key.

This will work but takes time if its a big lump..
Half empty slats and use agitator to coax lump down..

Ans remember if your agitating and watching for it to move... The GAS kills quickly !!
    Ventilate the shed well !!

Throw urea on it and leave overnight, that will help soften it

What kind of agitator? Get two agitators in there? Plenty of water for a start and more power. Power always works for Jeremy Clarkson.

how big is the tank, ie how many bays.
As the other lads say water is the key. agitate and remove a few loads and throw in a few loads of water. ideally empty to 4 feet and fill up to 6 feet with water. i find at this level the agitator works best.
If the tank is full the lump cant move down to you as it is stuck to the slats.
dont take out too much eithre as the solid stuff can stick to the ground and will be impossible to agitate. the only option then is to fill the tank with water and wait til the criust floats again.
If you get the tank down to 4 feet you can blow the slurry over the lump to the far side of the tank which will make the lump float towards you .

The other option is to get a contractor with a big agitator to give it a lash.
I agitated an outside tank with a contractors machine earlier this year , fully finished in 2 hours. the farmer told me the previous year a neighbour did it for him and took nearly 2 days to do the job.
