what do they check for on the audit?

    where is there info?

what lessons have you learnt from previous inspections?

    any recommendations?

    records medicine-purchases- administrations

    feed records

    general tidiness

    vermin control

    clean cattle trailer

    handling facilities

    up to date blue book

good fences ( no contact with neighbouring animals)

    foot wear disinfection

    farm safety sign

safety statement (fill out the one online and print off)

    medicine cabinet

    spray cabinet

1:Medicine records and traceability (where purchased)
    2: Safety statement
    3: animal register/ movements
    4: feed dockets

    All above are failure points

Others are mere marks against u

last audit was sticky enough, we passed but a new entrant failed don't know the reason

asked for proof of dog worming and asked to see the receipt and packaging

map of vermin bait locations, if you say you have cats, you will need proof of worming

I love the one of having records of worming the dog, can anyone tell me how this effects producing quality beef? Last audit I said terrier was the neighbours and was told I still needed record of worming as he was around the farm, wounder if I should try worming all the wild animals that might come in contact with the animals out in the fields, don't fancy trying to give a drench to a Fox or badger though!!!!
