What is the Pilot Scheme?

I applied on the CAO, but people keep talking about a pilot scheme, and I really don't know how, but this is the first I have ever heard of a pilot scheme!! I don't know, I must have missed out on reading it somewhere on the website! :confused: Can someone explain to me what it is?

The FETAC system has changed these year so ignore anything that refers to the Pilot Scheme etc.
