Waterlogged potted plants

    Folks,

    With all the heavy rain recently is this a problem. Should they be emptied of excess water?????

    I would anyway....as the plant may rot away.

    Its allways a good idea to drill and extra hole or 2 in the base of the pot and have a layer of pebbles at the base of the pot.


    Also add/mix in some grit with the compost.


    Get some plastic pot feet and place the pot up on the pot feet so the pot is off the ground and water can freely drain out of the pot.

    You could start keeping bog plants like venus flytraps, they're meant to be waterlogged :)
