Gum rising up where tooth was removed

    Hi, i got a back tooth removed a week and a half ago, im in pain ever since, i noticed that the gum where the hole is now rising up, its nearly the same height as the teeth either side, is this normal?

    My dentist is away on holidays till tuesday, i have an appointment with him then for more fillings so hopefully ill make it through the weekend, cheers.
