    Hi all,

I currently work full time on a shift work rota. I am going back to college part time and thinking about going part time with work. I am wondering would I be entitled to social welfare X's and O's, as I would not like to give up a full time job to find out I would not be entitled to it. I feel I do not have much of an option has the course has a huge workload.

    Many thanks

Unfortunately if you choose to give up full time work you are making yourself unavailable for full time work which is a condition of Job seekers.

If you look for your work days to be reduced you can receive a disallowance for up to 9 weeks. You will also be attending college and will be deemed unavailable for full time work.
