    does windows mail delete old emails. my old ones seem to disappear

    the Mail app like most other phone/tablet/etc apps doesn't replace Outlook or your parent mail server, its just a fetch. Those types of apps on average only store/cache the most recent 50 or so emails before 'discarding' them, but they are still in your email account and can still be retrieved.

    By default, Windows Mail only retains the most recent month of emails. If you wish to change this setting you sure can! from Mail pull up the sidebar and under settings select Accounts > [your email account]. you should see the option to have it store only as few as the last 3 days of mail or as many as all of them from the start of your account creation.

    Theres no option in Mail to delete emails from the mail server after Mail fetched them, so there shouldn't be any loss of the mail you receive.
