Passat B6 erratic front wipers

    So my wipers decide to have a mind of their own today off all days! Sometimes they don't work at all until I reach 20km/h, sometimes they do. Sometimes when they work and I go below 20 km/h, they stop in the middle of the windscreen!

    When I turn the ignition on only, they don't work at all, until I turn on the car and start driving a and reach 20km/h

    When I pull back on the lever at the steering wheel, the washer/spray doesn't work at all.

    Anyone ever seen this and can point my in the right direction of what the problem might be or have a remedy please? I've to head down the country on Friday and don't particularly want the issue in this wet weather while driving on the motorway

    Ha ha found the issue! Bonnet wasn't fully closed! Don't see how that would affect it though.

    Anyway, Please close thread and award me dope of the year!
