Flying Lesson Voucher - No response from company

    Hi

I purchased a voucher for an introductory flying lesson with flightwise (www.flightwise.ie) through living soical last chirstmas. The voucher is valid until December 2013. Although it took some time to get through I contacted the instructor on 3 different occasions in April. We arranged 3 different lessons but each were cancelled due to weather.

Since then the instructor has failed to answer or return my phone calls and has failed to respond to several emails. The voucher has not yet been honoured and I don't know what to do. Should I make a complaint to living social, or make a complaint to a regulator of this school, or a consumer regulator.

Has anybody else had any experience in dealing with this company? From what I have experienced I would not reccommend them.

Keep pushing. Go out to Weston and get in their faces.

Take your pick! Do a search, there are way more customers who have been caught out by these cowboys.

Have a look at their Facebook.. They don't allow people to comment on their wall (wonder why?) but check out the comments under the stuff they put up on their own wall.

Contact livingsocial and demand a refund, it worked for me.

I know that they don't have a full time secretary , you should text the phone number provided on their site as the flying instructor may be in the plane and cannot answer the phone. 085 140 5756 .
not an ideal answer but it will get you a reply.
    Hope you Enjoy the flight

Was stung by this back in 2007 when my wife bought me 2 lessons for sligo. Kept ringing his mobile and always told me to phone back on a later date because he was out of the office and when rang the office, they never answered. Think my wife paid 350 euro for it for xmass

Brian from Flightwise said in the past that if a call is logged before the voucher expires then the flight is guaranteed.
All calls to the contact number are answered by a real person and relevent data collected and the booking request is queued. The lead time has slipped due to the recent bubble. Alll customers should rest assured that once their call to book has been logged on or before midnight on 6/8/11 their fligh is guaranteed even if they don't want to fly until next year and you can quote me on that.

Maybe the OP could consider the Small Claims Court if they are not satisfied with the service, €25 fee and pretty straight forward.

Had the same problem with this crowd the last time the offer came up. Very rarely answered their phone, never returned calls and never got my lesson. Got onto living social and demanded a refund which they eventually agreed to. I can't believe the number of people who had this same issue yet living social are still doing business with them.

Dont go near this crowd. They pretend to be good value but they
1 charge you a monthly 'membership' fee!
2 keep you on the ground talking instead of flying but still charging you all the time
3 drag out lessons and slow progress to get more euros out of you
Try another Flying School. East Coast or NFC
