If anyone is looking for some new competition-based Reality TV, check out Capture - it started on the CW last night.

It is basically The Hunger Games converted into a reality show (without the ceremony and, er... death!)

You have a number of colour-coded teams who are the prey and are being chased by one team who are designated as hunters. If the hunters catch 2 teams, then those two are put up for elimination and one is sent home. If only one team get caught, then the hunters become the other team up for elimination. If the hunters don't catch anyone, then they go home by default.

The hunters have trackers that light up if a team stands still for more than 3 minutes, so all teams have to keep moving. The hunters actually have to physically catch the prey too (by touching their vests with a gadget called a talon), so there are no sneaky long range infra-red shoot outs.

The show is filled with the usual reality show stereotypes (brother/sister, couples, 'just friends', gay guys, jocks etc.)

It's a fun format that works well. Worth checking out.

I am really enjoying this, the second episode, where they introduce the "Advantage Point" concept i.e. first to get there picks a team to be highlighted on the Hunt Team's radar and has their vests emit a siren, was epic, as I was just thinking that as numbers of prey teams dwindle finding anyone is gong to be a bit of a problem.
    Well worth checking out!
