Just wondering, how busy is it at the airport at around 5 am in the mornings ? Does it take long to get through security ?

It's normally fairly okay at that time. You could always pickup FastTrack if you're worried.

I should arrive at the airport around 5am for a Ryanair flight that leaves at 6:15. Reckon I should be ok ?

it will feel squeeky around 5.30 if still in queue but realistically should be no issue. (normally)

If you've no bags to check in and you've already got your ticket it should be a straight run through.

We got through security round 6.30 or so last Friday in T1 in less than 10 minutes. Prechecked in on Ryanair.

Was waiting for other members of group & security was quiet before then as well.

That's cutting it really fine if arriving by bus. With dreadfully poor weather conditions forecast you're not allowing yourself any leeway for any potential delays. Definitely pay for airport genie and if possible take an earlier bus.

The bus is due to arrive at the airport at 4:50 which gives me 1:25 minutes before the flight departs. Lets say 20 minutes at security and 20 min walk to gate, that still leaves me with 45 minutes before flight departs. Also, there will be next to no traffic at this time of the night so the bus should be on time.

Airport Genie is your friend. I won't travel without it at this time of year. Security has been really busy at that time the last couple of weeks. In fairness, it moves quickly but it's still stressful queuing when you know the flight is near boarding.

This time of year brings out all the seasonal travellers so expect lots of bags being stopped as they pull out liquids, makeup etc. this really slows down the queue.

Add to this that your travelling with Ryanair who have a habit of overbooking and I wouldn't leave anything to chance.
