    Hi Guys,

I am going to apply for the pathway outside of my fathers house to be 'dished' to enable access to his driveway. The house is located in Dublin and under Dublin City Council catchment. I have been informed that we need planning permission before we contact the roads maintaince dept.

Seems a bit extreme and likelt to cost alot of money!! any ideas on what general costings would be for architect plans for the application?

    Thanks

Architects may charge in the region of 400-500 euros to survey, draw up & submit the application for this. Note that on top of this you will also have to pay around 250 euros for newspaper notices, ordnance survey maps and DCC planning application fees

Have you got a vehicle entrance at present?
You need to apply for planning for e vehicle entrance, not the dishing of the path.

Once you have planning for the vehicle entrance, you then get the roads dept. of DCC to dish the path. Bear in mind that the path dishing must be done by DCC and will cost you approx €500 for that alone, they have a minimum charge.

I just completed one of these in Finglas.
PM me if you want specific details.
